Unusual Collaboration

A good networking group is so much more than acquiring new clients or finding reliable services – as useful and worthwhile as that is. It can be easy to think that it’s a waste of time speaking to people representing businesses we feel are unlikely to be helpful but talking to everyone, irrespective of occupation, can bring unexpected benefits.

BIG prides itself on being a friendly networking group and as such has helped to bring a number of eclectic business together, forming unusual collaborations.  A recent example is Lewis Francis Blackburn Bray Solicitors of Paradise Square in Sheffield which now has original art adorning the walls of meetings rooms, waiting areas and offices with more to come. This is a collaboration between members Ian Clay, solicitor and Jackie Whall, artist.

Ian says…
You may remember the television advert from the 1980s for a high street bank with the tag line “It’s not all work, work, work, you know,” and successful networking certainly isn’t. Lewis Francis Blackburn Bray is pleased to be able to display original works by a talented local artist. It provides an unusual talking point for our clients and more exposure for Jackie Whall, the lady behind the pictures. Please feel free to come along and have a look.

Jackie says
LFBB have given me free rein to display my art on their walls, using it as my exhibition space. It’s great to think that my art will be regularly viewed by the public. Art, after all, should be seen and this is a perfect, if slightly unorthodox, way of getting it out there.

If you would like to see the art in person, LFBB are a friendly, approachable practice and have said that the public are welcome to pop in to view it. All pieces are for sale.
