I have many passions in my life, school butterscotch tart, Nottingham Forest and Meg Ryan (pre lip job)
But I must say work and being a Lion is of paramount importance to me and I have a rich history in both.
With work I am dedicated to offer my unique style to everyone often with a tinge of humour, my mantra is of a consultative listening approach not focussed just on my profit but with a result that is of mutual benefit
My career started as a commercial artist, but quickly realised that type of art wasn’t for me, so I stumbled into selling in a sales office then progressed to field sales selling a very well known brand of Jeans. I loved that but things changed and started in the photocopier market that was over 45 years ago.
Wow has that changed , It is now mainly printer scan equipment first and copy last. I had a great career working for others, with lots of rewards, but again personal circumstances change lives so I decided to do it for myself.
I have lasted all these years because I work hard and enjoy what I do. I have by nature a very kind, fair attitude with a desire to please, and it’s held me in great stead.
This attitude is why I am a Lion, if you don’t know what they do call me or google it, and it’s not the Rugby team either, it is a wonderful organisation. It is run by volunteers who pay to be members.
We simply raise money and then give it away wisely to worthy causes or individuals.
I have been a Lion for almost 20 years and proudly helped thousands of people, not on my own but with fellow members who are now great friends, We meet twice monthly, once as a business meeting the second as a social, friendship and bonding is so important.
I can’t ever see myself retiring from work or the Lions, and why should I? I still have so much to offer
