The 10 minute presentation given each week by different members of BIG can take varying forms; potted histories of members journey to their present business, exciting projects, interesting peeks into their world of work, quizzes and interests to name a few.
At our recent meeting Jackie extended Ian’s introduction to art. Ian ‘s claim to not be able to draw was taken as a challenge and, many months ago, Jackie gave him a quick introduction to drawing with charcoal. For her 10 minute presentation this week, she decided the time had come to introduce him to colour so, armed with just a few pastels and some paper, Ian drew an apple in a remarkably speedy 10 minutes.
The results were impressive given the time, experience and pressure of drawing in front of the group, but Ian took it all in his stride; thanks go to him for being such a good sport and helping Jackie to demonstrate that anyone can have a go.
